Vancouver: 40 minutes
Season:
December – Early May
Details:
Boasting 60% more snow per storm cycle than Whistler Blackcomb. Bottom line, if you are heading to Whistler to ski powder, a stop at Powder Mountain Heliskiing will guarantee you get your fix.
The terrain tenure of 4,300 acres and five peaks is split up among only 24 guests per day, allowing for fresh tracks from the first through the last run of the day.
The terrain is split into three distinct areas: Tricouni Runs, Tricouni North Shore, and Cypress Runs.
Tricouni Runs & Tricouni North Shore: Tricouni is filled with tree runs boasting an average vertical of 1200 to 2500 feet. There is a unique mixture of old and new growth forests along with deep powder bowls. Brew Ridge is a new area that is just beginning to be explored, which boasts great, untouched tree skiing.
Cypress Runs: High alpine skiing and runs ranging from 1500 – 3800 vertical feet is the recipe in Cypress for epic powder skiing. There is something for everyone on the Cyprus Runs, including: low-angle runs, tree runs with ideal spacing through old growth forests, chutes, features to huck yourself off, and the best view in the area. When Whistler Blackcomb is getting dumped on, you can bet on Cypress getting double the snowfall.
