For only $75, the first 12 people to make reservations or show up at the resort at 6:45am on powder days will be treated to first tracks on the regular resort runs until the lifts open for the morning (check with the resort for current lift operating times to get an idea of how long you’ll have the mountain to yourself). The resort offers a vertical drop of 2,600 feet and six mountains, ensuring that for at least a little while, the cat will deliver you to some great early morning goods before your buddy sleeping off a hangover at the hotel even knows what happened.

Bonus: If you need to talk your significant other into letting you go on a snowcat trip, minds and appetites can be appeased by taking another snowcat trip that night, either for dinner at the mid-mountain Allyn’s Lodge or for some moonlight skiing or snowshoeing.

To ensure a seat on the cat, reservations on the day or the night before a good snowday are recommended.
