Getting There:

Bell 2 Lodge is located 220 miles (360 km) Northwest of Smithers,
British Columbia. The resort is situated along the Stewart-Cassiar
Highway.

Ripley Creek Inn is located 200 miles (310km) Northwest of Terrace,
British Columbia. The small town of Stewart is situated at the end of
the Portland Canal, opposite Hyder, Alaska. This operation focuses
exclusively on the southern part of our tenure.

Details:

Last Frontier Heli is one of the Northernmost heliski operations in
British Columbia. With a massive heliski tenure of 2.2 million acres
in one of the highest snowfall areas of the world. The Northern
Coastal Mountains and Skeena Mountain Range are heavily glaciated but
also wooded at lower elevations. Last Frontier Heliskiing has access
to a nearly endless amount of challenging terrain both above and below
treeline.

Average snowfall of 65 to 100 feet per season.  There is approximately
one down day per week that is lost due to poor weather.  Of the 2.2
million acres of terrain, there are currently 450 named runs.

Heliski Greece

Getting There:

Fly into Thessaloniki, Greece.

March – April

Details:

Heliskiing on mythical Mount Olympus, known as the ‘Throne of the
Gods.’  This is a new operation and comes along with the opportunity
to ski first descents.  Mount Olympus is located along the Aegean Sea,
with runs ranging from 1,000 to 1,500 vertical meters.  During good
snow years, heliskiers will be able to ski from peak to sea level.
Average days include four to six runs.

Heliski Greece offers first class accomodations, while providing
skiers with the opportunity to experience the best of both worlds by
combining heliskiing with a beach vaction.

Getting There:

Fly into Iceland.  Iceland is easily reached from Canada and the United States with the possibility of arriving and skiing on the same day.

Exploratory atmosphere with opportunities for first descents and heli skiing all the way down to the shore of the Arctic ocean.  Vast terrain tenure includes 1,500 square miles (4,000 square kilometers) of Arctic mountains with a variety terrain to suit all ski ability levels.  Whether you are looking for extreme couloirs or wide open glaciers, there is a variety of terrain to suit skier needs. Arctic Heli Skiing brings skiers a new perspective on night skiing, with the opportunity to ski under the midnight sun.

Unique add-on experiences to Arctic Heli Skiing include volcanic activity, hot springs, lava fields, and a unique culture.

Both private and semi-private heli skiing packages are available to guests, with the Klaengsholl Lodge serving as the base of operations.

Great Canadian Heli-Skiing operates out of the Heather Mountain lodge, which offers drive up access.  Heli skiing packages include 2 – 7 day tours, with both private and shared options available.

Small groups are the emphasis at Great Canadian Heli-Skiing, with heli ski groups of just 4.  There is a maximum of 3 groups per helicopter, and 2 helicopters total.  This translates into all of the terrain being shared by only a maximum of 24 people per day.

Great Canadian Heli-Skiing offers guests unlimited vertical, regardless of the time of year and have very few down days thanks to their location. The average amount of down days is less than 2 per season.

There is a variety of terrain for skiers to choose from, with excellent tree skiing as one of the highlights.  The tree skiing includes both traditional forests and burnt forests for tree skiing enthusiasts. In addtion to tree skiing, terrain features include bowls, pillows, and more.

Alpine Heliski has an office in Queenstown, New Zealand. From the office or your accommodations, they offer a shuttle to the heli-skiing staging area.

Alpine Heliski boasts the largest terrain tenure in New Zealand.  With over 5,000 square kilometers of terrain, Alpine Heliski can accommodate skiers and boarders of many different ability levels. Heli-ski terrain includes bowls, ridges, and deep powder basins.  The terrain is split into a Northern and Southern region.  The Northern region includes many ranges near Mount Cook and the Southern Alps, boasting some of the longest heli-ski runs in all of New Zealand.  The Southern region includes all of the major mountain ranges surrounding Queenstown and Wanaka.

Alpine Heliski is well-known for employing world-renowned ski guides who keep the skiing safe, while meeting the needs and desires of the group.  Alpine Heliski also offers heli-ski guide training for those looking to break into the backcountry ski guiding industry.

Heli-skiing trip options with Alpine Heliski include single day, multi-day, and private heli skiing/boarding charters.  They can accommodate first time heli skiers that want to add a day onto their Queenstown ski trip or for experienced heli-skiers, Alpine Heliski offers multi-day and private heliskiing charters.  For the ultimate level of customization, experienced skiers choose the private charters.  This allows for greater control over the terrain and the pace of the heli skiing day.
